Ladies and Gentlemen, after many years of reading, participating, and debating I must withdraw much, if not all of my presence here.
We joke about being design addicts, but the truth is this forum has absorbed enormous amounts of time and energy (not necessarily in a bad way but...) At heart I am an artist, and design is just a hobby, so I am going to wrest that energy away from DA and apply it towards my own creative talents.
I will swing by occasionally, and if there comes a time when I feel that my work is progessing adequately I may rejoin the conversation. Until then - thank you all, and a very fond adieu!

...will not be the same without you, so please keep your promise to "swing by" from time to time. In the meantime, enjoy every minute of your creative activity...in the meantime we will miss your comments on you preference for the H base, your help with finding a "Fritz" address in New York...and the more challenging contributions. I for one enjoyed them all.

I, too, have had to cut back on DA. I don't have the time and I can't spare the energy. I miss the good discussions, but lately, I've not been able to fit in to any really good ones. It seems my thoughts and interests are not on the same wavelength anymore. I begin to feel like a square peg in a round hole. So onward to other challenges. Please swing by and I promise to do the same. 'Tis true...once an addict always an addict.
As another one
of the artists on this forum, I completely understand the need to focus. However, the selfish part of me says you only have my permission to cut back if you post your ongoing art projects. Perhaps we need an "Artists of DA" corner. Now get going and bust a move on that art!
