I am selling my parents' flos arco marble based lamp and want to know whether there are any distinguishing marks so I can tell buyers that it's authentic? It's been in my parent's homes since the 70s. Were copies made way back then? I don't want to sell it as authentic, if it's not, but I can't find a sticker or anything like that. Thanks

Knock-off
arc lamps -- with real marble bases -- were being sold in lamp stores c 1977; I was there. I cannot say what marks if any there were. . .

If the purchase..
dates back to the 70ties, and it has both the typical mouvement of the shade and the cut-off corner in the base, you can be sure it is authentic. In those days there were very few copies, and all of them were rather crude imitations without the articulated shade and the cut-off corner, which most people believed was the result of an accident....

Cable in Arm
On a genuine Flos Arco, is the arm of the lamp a closed box section, or is it an open "trough" in which the power cable just sits (i.e. you can see the cable when viewed from above?).

It's a closed box section...
...for the vertical (straight) piece in which the cable goes in at the base, but the curved ones are U-shaped with the cable visible from above.

Thanks
Thanks. I bought a repro one from eBay for a very small sum, and after having a look at one in a shop and this confirmation, it's a very close copy.
