fixing teak chairs  

Hi, I just picked up a dining set that is the same as the link attached, although NOT in the same condition - unfortunately.

One of the main faults with the suite I purchased is the top of the chairs where they fit under the table are chipped and worn away and therefore losing that nice sharp edge, this is because of the nature of the design having to stick them in the specific space of the table.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Should I just sand it down a little and leave it as is and call it character? this seems the best option but I thought someone might have a better idea.

the other problem is there is a small chip in the top which is a teak laminate (i think that is what you call it. Is there an easy way to fix this as well?
