It makes me think of a rich man who is pretended to be poor.But whatever it looks like,it is durable than the cheap one.We shouldn't just look at the outside of something,time is the best witness.Good or bad,time will prove it.That's what I think of this design.

You're right Robert - it is a very expensive joke. Somewhere in this there is an essay waiting to be written about the perversity of wealth and fashion. Bizarre. I wonder if the people who [will definately] buy it, will get the joke - or are they the object of it?

It could be argued, rather than being perverse, it it those very people that can afford this sort of stuff that drive fashion and therefore design forward.
Also, as much as it's an expensive joke, I believe it's also a social commnent on the throwaway, landfill-plastic culture we live in..

You know, I hadn't thought of it like that Robert - and I see exactlly what you mean. There's a flip side to every line of thought I guess. And do you know, I spend a fortune on clothes (Isabel Marant, Vivienne Westwood, Rick Owens especially) so I do believe in the importance and value of the fashion/style industry. I maybe have to own up to a deep routed dislike of LV and the whole 'it-bag' thing.
You've given me something to think about there.
