sorry barry old boy but i think those Birks are one ugly shoes, a cool guy like you that likes cool modern can do better than those old shoes!!, I never liked them, I used to buy them for my kids when they were in school and i thought they were ugly then and ugly now.

to old school checkered Vans. Got my first pair in the 80's, and the look is still fresh.

these are beautifully made and they suit Minnesota winters.
I have very flat feet and the removable cork works perfectly.
My pair is 5 years old and it looks like it's new.
In the summer, I either wear sneakers or sandals.

The Birkenstock
The birkenstock is a well considered design classic
I wear Nike & Adidas to my discredit, but will never, ever need the 'eames shoes' 😉
