funny.
Odd that you mention this. I was fence sitting on this purchase as well.
Just a few months ago, i tried to find it again. It seems to have vanished.
oops.
I hated the knives in my current set but found a good replacement.
I was in the MOMA store in Manhattan last week and they have a good
selection of moderns. And a summer sale. Not what your looking for though.
I am curious what happened.

Eternum Alaksa flatware hunt continues
I've left several messages at 'GENSE America - Eternum USA' with no response. They appear to be the only US ditributor of Eternum, and list (203) 341-8793 as their current phone number. There is also an eBay store maintained by Coffee4you who once sold many sets.
Two years ago I found a 12pc set of the Alaska 18/10 on eBay, then stored it till early this year. Honestly, it took some time to get used to the skinny knives. Their very pointy ends defy conventional spreading, and pop through the holes in a dishwasher basket like stilettos in a grate. However, being more precise and sexy than boring, suburban flatware, it was fun finding new ways to use them. I still find myself taken by the balance and shape of the set. After 6mo of daily use, everyone in the house now prefers the modern lines. The service pieces are handsome and very functional. Even the teeny-weeny dessert spoons/forks, once thought useless, are miraculous in the kitchen: individual tastes while cooking, jams, jars, sugar, even freshly grated cheese at the table.
I am looking to expand the set, in fact.
But now, it seems there is no active distributor in the US. And the UK stores won't ship off-continent. Like. Ever. Plus, they want so much more for them there, I don't want to pursue that option.
I'm on it, and will share any links I find. But so far, no joy.
K
