I so enjoyed viewing all of your art, pottery, and wristwatches (I want to see more wristwatches..) I have a weakness for eyeglasses. I've pretty much sold off all of the classic cars (leaving 1 classic, and 3 newer cars). I do like tacky French luggage, pretentious Italian shoes/belts, and limitless tropical clothing....but I have a soft spot for eyeglasses. My preferred brands are Alain Mikli, and Gold & Wood. I need an interaction, and an exorcism.
Anyone else?
Aunt Mark

Glass
of a different kind.
This was a while ago- it's under control now, and I'm about to have another purge ahead of a move after Christmas

We are all obsessed to say the least. My weaknesses are vintage watches (ranging from classic Breitling Navitimers to Georg Jensen to Dieter Rams watches), Georg Jensen cufflinks and tie bars, Jensen flatware, Newer design/architecture books aside from modernist furniture and lighting. I have also figured out an ingenious way of buying very high end suits...sport coats...blazers...and outerwear. By obtaining gently used examples, I save myself from worrying so much about them. As I'm still quite young, its more practical and allows me to have a great collection without too much splurging.

Anything/everything Georg Jensen makes me damp with envy.
Thank you, David. Any snappies? Anyone else?
Maybe a collection of Le Cruset cookwear?
or salt and pepper shakers?
or Hummel figurines?
or maybe bicycles/motorbikes?
or toenail clippings?
or surfboards?
or shotglasses from Trader Vic's?
or Hermes scarf's?
or anything but porn?
Best,
Your Aunt Mark

Not sure if this is terribly on topic
But I collect a number of other things, including vintage 60s and 70s Japanese character tins. They go well with brightly colored Eames shells. 😉

ps.
I recall viewing a glass jar collection of used exacto-(razor) blades from a snappy that adam fowler once posted. They were scary...yet quite interesting.

So he is an architect? As I'm in school currently, I suppose I can start collecting as of this fall. By the time I'm decrepit and well aged, at least I'll be able to look back and realize I was once productive.

Hi
Generally, I can only focus on one collection at a time. Right now it's art. But here's a photo of some pepper mills.

Mark
How many pairs of glasses do you have, and do you wear all of them?
