well maybe not...but the southern most point of the US, anyhow (Key West)...some snappies that I have been reluctant to share of a condo that my sister and I purchased a decade ago. She arrived one time...installed a TV..had a smoke/drink..and never returned. I sneak down when possible. Sorry about the Ikea sticks...most everything is from consignment stores. I did have (and designed) the divider thing that separates the space. I'll show more snappies soon. The same woodworker that made the room divider also made the built in drawers (white under bedroom area window's) and the credenza (under the dreaded TV). The space is on the busiest street in town...and is quite noisy..but fun.
Why not?? I'm buzzed.

my bike.
I also have a couple of Vespa's in the garage..but just planted the old MINI Cooper S (2006) in the garage. I just might visit more often..
What the hell. Fantasy Fest, anyone?
Aunt Mark
ps I've been to "Burning Man" a couple of times...but nothing compares to Fantasy Fest. I need therapy. Is there help? I have a couple of scooters..if that would help. Advice?
pss evil is in the womb.
Many thanks EH.
Small, but perfect for a quick visit. I think that the black/white photo was from Ikea...but I could be wrong. Either that, or one of the galleries on Duval Street. I'm puzzled.

ps I used to stay in funky guest houses in my "olden day" Key West visits. They were much more fun than this noisy flat. But this is safe.
In my younger days...
I stayed at a hotel on La Cienega Boulevard in LA once when i was 19 years old. I was doing the rounds trying to snag a good gallery to show my work. Pretty wet behind the ears... i must say.
The sign on this hotel said "Rooms for $5." HA! (I mean it was 1976 or something, not so long ago that 5 bucks would make any sense.)
But I was so dumb (or so cheap) that I actually asked about the 5 dollar rooms! The guy said, "oh no, that is just for a couple of hours" HAHAHA
So I paid up at the full night rate, and got no sleep whatsoever! Noise and "activity" ahem.... all night long, of course.
ON THE WALL ITSELF there was a badly lettered and misspelled message written in pencil about how to work the air conditioner.
Ah those were the best days ever. LA before the art world gave a hoot. I love the sunsets there. And the people in the galleries were always very friendly.
I love LA.
Need to visit again soon. Your trip is making me want to hit the road!

This chair was rescued from the street.
In as -is condition. The Platner table is from my fathers office, the art is from a local Duval Street gallery (can't remember), and the lamp is a mystery.
But, it's all good and tacky.

ps When my mother "plopped" me out me in the delivery room in traditional stir-ups circa 1962), Her snapper made an odd gargling sound..her personal doctor instructed the staff to stand back.... and all of the sudden......to be continued.
pss evil in the womb.
pss i'll need to edit this in the morning.
You are spot on SDR.
It's basically a hotel room with a full kitchen/bath/laundry/and me. The sad thing is...it never gets used. My better half doesn't like the decadence of the town. I might visit 2 or 3 times per year, alone. But now that I have a car there (as the grocery/liquor store is a couple of miles away), maybe I'll become a local bar-hag....and visit often. Maybe. They really don't know what to think about me in the bars. I try to behave. I think that it might be my attire?.
Why not??
Aunt Mark.
ps the restaurants are divine.
