I have a cool modern chair, chrome and plastic, by Emeco. It is marked 33M, design by Richard Ogg. Can't get any info on it, and can't find a mate on ebay or any of the mid-century auctions or dealers. Called Emeco who said it was in their catalog years ago, 1970-80 era, but they didn't even remember it, said i was the only person to ask about this in years. Anyone know anything about this chair, the 33M, or richard ogg, and why don't they ever show up anywhere?? really cool looking chair, so you would think that they would appear from time to time. thanks. chas

will try and post a photo this weekend. by the way, the ogg design site you provided a link to has a scrolling group of photos, and in that you will notice a pair of chairs, then a single chair. the 33m is just like that single chair, except it has small flat arms, as opposed to the pictured chair being armless. rest of the chair is the same, i.e. frame, seat and back.

Nice to hear that someone has one of my chairs. Give me an idea of seat/back color and frame finish, I may have a model that mathces in my studio. History: The chair was sold to Shelby Williams awhile back and they modified the design, without my involvement, etc. The current version is not called 33M as far as I know, nor do I know if it is in production. I have stepped away from the licensing agreement and have lost contact with the Emeco people.

I have recently purchased a set of 3-33M by Emeco chairs designed by Richard Ogg. The base is chrome and the chair set and backs are a putty/beige color. I am interested in getting an additional chair to complete the set. Here is a link to the image of the exact chairs I purchased.
