Picked up this cabinet recently. It has a partial label that reads Winchendon----- Mass. and then a name of the line missing word/ modern. Finally it says designed by-------- c. 1947

It has thin edge style drawers and the pulls are exactly the same profile a the single rings on some of the planner group cabinets, thugh these are slightly beefier. It is also 3/4 inch deeper than the planner group pieces. I assume it is McCobb but Baughman also did some work for winchedon. Any ideas?

Multiplex by Martin Feinman for Modernage
That's a Multiplex piece by Martin Feinman for Modernage Circa 1947. ("Novel Furniture introduced here" NY Times November 6, 1947)
Both Paul McCobb and B. G. Mesberg were employed at Modernage in the late 40's. It was where they met and formed their plans for the Planner Group and the Directional line of furniture.
Winchendon Furniture was manufacturing Multiplex at the time and it seems a natural progression for McCobb/Mesberg to have contracted with them when the time came to start the Planner Group
