I'm intersted in buying two of these wire chairs
but they do not show any logo stickers
I'm just wondering if any of you can verify that they are legit(with all these copies floating around)
Thanks in advance

A set of DKR-2's they look ok to me. Although its missing a screw in the last pic. I would check to make sure it hasnt had any re-welds and that there arent any breaks on the wire struts anywhere. The outside rim should be constructed of two pieces of wire. The other thing to make sure is that the effiel bases are orginal to the chair and are not bent or damaged in anyway, as this can cause the chair to sit unevenely. With regards to labeling its not un-common for them not to have labels on the fabric.
Hope this helps.

What I mean is that the welds...
What I mean is that the welds of the new vitra eiffel bases show a circular notch on the place where the weld is made (hope you can follow)
Is this just for the newer DKR-2 or was this done from the beginning, because then these chairs are not the real thing
Thanks

Hi
Judging from the pics, the chair looks like recent Vitra production.

The boot glide feet...
The boot glide feet definatley do look a newer production, as mine are solid rubber without the hole in the middle. Its difficult to tell from these pics due to the crazy angles.

It is
interesting (to me) to note the slight downward (inward) bend of the leg just where the lower weld occurs. I assume this is an original trait -- I never noticed it before. It is visible in the second and third photos above.

SDR
You are correct. The rods are also thicker on the Vitra production. I wonder if the wires used for the seat are heavier gauge as well.
BTW, vintage chairs were not produced in chrome finish. The use of torx head screws also indicates Vitra.

Thanks for all the info guys ...
Thanks for all the info guys
I let this pair pass because it looked as there was a bit to much work on the chrome, and in the end the pair was already up over 350 USD
I'll keep on looking and take your info with me on the next hunt
