First, please excuse me for my poor english but I come here to have your opinions about the chair I want to buy.
I can buy via internet an eames lounge chair (price 2500e), edited by Herman Miller.

The chair looks good, but the usually price is about 4000-5000e. Can it be a real Herman miller for that price?
Any thoughts are welcome.

Seems OK (from what I can see)
From what I see, it seems to be a legitimate exemple of a set in rosewood (the grain on this exemple is a little boring for my taste...) made by Herman Miller in the 70's or 80's. Is it worth the price? If you really like it I would say yes. But do you know if it has any issues with the shockmounts (Will they give away any time soon?) Do you see any traces of a repair on each sides of the wood panels. Is there any edge chips? All these things, that are impossible to see on the photos would decrease the value.
But with that type of wood grain, you could have a brand new one in walnut from Herman Miller, for the same price, that would look the same if it's not slightly better...

Thank you for your advices. I am agree with you, the grain does not look great compare to other eames lounge chair like the one we can see on the book : The Eames Lounge Chair, An Icon of Modern Design. But for that price, I will think about it twice before taking decision.
