i came across with a la fonda side chair but the shell is a regular eames side shell.
most i've seen are either naugahyde upholstered or alexander girard fabric upholstered. the side shell is shorter and the arm shell has a different contour on the back.
does a straight regular eames fiberglass side shell on a la fonda base ever exist?
thanks,

La Fonda
They definitely made non upholstered versions, which I think are gorgeous. They are rare - I believe the only non-upholstered versions were made early on. See this example recently:

I have seen them
I have seen the regular shells on la fonda basis before. I'm not sure if hm sent them out like that but they do show up in the wild.

Ah
Yes, I've seen this quite a bit but I also do not know if HM shipped them this way.

Seems to be
More common in Europe, but perhaps HM offered this combination in the US too.
