I think we might need the help of some Eames experts here.
Allergy? Try taking a close look at the armrests. Do they look worn? I think it's possibly the fiberglass irritating your skin. The shells are all clear-coated, perhaps it has worn down to the fiberglass-threads underneath during the many years of use. It can be fixed.
About the curved armrests. Vitra probably used some molds that were slightly different that HM in the US. Perhaps Vitra updated the design a bit before the production began. I honestly don't know. Anyone?

i use an icelandic keybord, wow. I wonder if they use a different molds, then the design is not the same original design is it ? so is it then a original chair ?

Hej Arnar
Especially when there is a substantial time laps between the first production and the re-editing or in this case European production there might be differences. One reason is new technology. For instance the Polypropylene version of the Verner Panton chair is clearly computer modeled, it might have been done from a physical or an optical scan, but it certainly shows traces of computer modeling whereas the first moulds were copied from a model on a Deckel copier.
I used to work for a company that produced Knoll furniture in license and there to, even some smaller differences were considered "original" and according to designer's specifications.
