I also have been given the chance to purchase 4 of these dsx chairs. again I am struggling to learn more about the design, desirability and options associated with this eames design. not a bargain either I don't think...but not sure what they go for because I do not know age, etc.
Is this called the dining side chair with h base? is it called something else based on having vinyl upholstery?
I am wondering if this is a commercial style with the wider or narrower base? It was not in a home but not really a true industrial setting... What kind of bases can you put on this chair? What do the numbers and markings mean besides the miller mark? or would those be marks applied by the previous owner for inventory etc. of previous owner?
thank you for any comments or education you can offer on these chairs.

Narrow mount
The chairs are standard narrow mount which will fit all of the various base styles except for the wide mount stacking base.
Upholstered chairs without shock mounts are generally less valuable. However, these appear to be in good condition. Personally, I would not purchase an upholstered chair that had any condition issues on the upholstery.
