Hi,
I found a chair that looks exactly like an eames dkr in a skip...it has a brown leather 'bikini' cover. It measures up perectly to an original, but should there be any stamps or signature marks that would prove its authenticitty?

Many thanks for your help.

Eames DKR
Check the bikini pad for any tags.

Chances are it's real. I...
Chances are it's real. I don't know of a vintage ripoff of this chair ... especially one that looks real. Anyone else?
Plus - when people bought these originally very few knew that these would be collector's items. Removing the label to some would be no differrent than removing a label off of a mattress. I have very rarely found something with a label intact.

Probably real
If it looks right and appears vintage, it's most likely real. Though I've never seen one with a real leather bikini pad, they were almost always naugahide. Check the bottom of the frame on the thick gauge wire, if it's early, it will say "Patent Pending".
