There was a design that I ran across not too long ago that I think I remember being attributed to Donald Judd. I could be wrong. I think I remember this design being sold as new on a site that offered many variations of the design.
The main concept was a very long benchlike platform in wood in a very simple, almost parsons table type design. The weird part, and the part that varies from design to design, is the random placement of simple chair back (almost like a wooden school chair).
You might have one 8 foot bench with one chair back on the side, and two on the back in random spots. I hope this rings a bell with someone.
