What irony...
The fact that you're even allowed on this board is regrettable to most if not all on this forum. Your whining to Patrick and Alix only illustrates further your childish intentions. And in contrast to my well written, well conceived posts, yours couldn't be more predictable or more redundant. So keep it up. I couldn't care less in all honesty. No being in this existence could influence my behavior towards you.
AoDA and riki, thanks for...
AoDA and riki, thanks for your contributions. I hope I can synthesize the info into useful a strategy.
also, since there are comments from 'dealers', I hope I don't sound like I'm trying to swindle anyone. In the end, a dealer will decide to sell to a customer or not. Now, while b&b may not be a commodity, dealers are not value added resellers---which is AoDA's main point (you're basically asking them to pass along an order and do some minor paperwork).
my situation is unique---I never used anyone's retail location as a showroom. I already knew which pieces I wanted, and fabric/leather samples were mailed to me and I made my decisions in that manner.
you are welcome
The Deep,
I am pleased that "Riki and I" were able to help. It never occured to me that you wanted to "swindle" anyone, I knew that you wanted to get the most for your hard earned money. Good luck to you and I truly hope that your desires become reality.
Riki, thank you for your input. I have heard it said that there are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth. At the end of the day I believe that The Deep will be able to take both of our thoughts and make a sound decision.
stuck at the grocery store
LuciferSum,
I agree that it would be tedious at best to suffer behind someone dragging out a transaction at any retail location. I do all my "homework" ahead of time and I only make a single offer to the vendor. The deal for the Charles and Ray Eames, la Chaise for Vitra® took less than a minute to conclude and longer to load. As for me and I believe by reading the post of The Deep it is not a matter of affordabilty it is trying to get the most for the money by paying the least amount possible. Your humor is well taken and thank you for the levity, it is very refreshing.
