can anyone identify this chair, it is very well made, the cane on the back is missing, any help would be appreciated.

It looks very similar to...
It looks very similar to chairs made by Rastad & Relling, which I believe is Norwegian.

decent references for NORWEGIAN furniture? I have an unmarked table that I just have a sense might be norwegian but am having a devil of a time ID'ing it.

Here are some good, clear photos of the weaving on the back. I saved these awhile back for my own reference---not sure where they're from. Maybe 1stdibs? Anyway, whether you do the work or have someone do it, maybe they'll help. The pattern is unusual.
