I found a light wood molded plywood coffee table. I think it's birch, but I can't be sure. I can see the layers of wood on the side. Also, when you turn it over, you can see that it's made of 3 separate pieces (planks) put together, but the rounded top sides and legs are one piece.

Does anyone recognize this table? I haven't seen it anywhere. Sorry the picture is so bad.

Its not AALTO but its very nice its 70s,the rounded edge is very much of this period...very likely a contract piece done by a "captive" designer.Very good quality and styling...

Thanks for the information....
Thanks for the information. I appreciate it. I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else, except for the ones in bamboo. Was there a designer that specialized in this curved wood style in the light wood?

table
I was flipping through an old magazine (Maison Française 1999) and saw a picture of a coffee table just like this by Ecart. I remembered you'd posted this pic so I thought I'd mention it. Ecart International are a french company specialising in re-editing design classics, they also make pieces by more recent innovative designers.
Edit; On closer inspection its not the same table. The one in the magazine was a reedition of a Jean Michel Franck / Adolphe Chanaux sycomore table. very similar though !

thanks for the input. You're right...it's not the same table, but it's a great site, and the design is 1928. The search continues!

It will be a "fluke" if someone can put a designers name to this table.A maker maybe, like I said its probably contract,by a company designer...tables market aimed mainly at offices etc...not for your average home consumer...
