Thanks, Riki. I only know the name by the signature--"Pucci". I don't know anything beyond that except that I love it. It's an oil painting, btw, presumably Italian.

Thanks, Gustavo. The curtains are sheers from Ikea, under which are roman blinds. I can raise the blinds, let the sun in but still have privacy.
As for the kitten... You have a very good memory. My beloved kitten Dandylion is under the infamous coffee table, sleeping on a rug.

I can see it now in the close up that it is oil, not water. Maybe it's by a teenage Emilio Pucci before he started designing clothes and you have a treasure on your hands.
