concrete countertop sealant  

Hi Olive,

Your house sounds very cool! You have concrete countertops in your kitchen & I'd love to install them except I'm very concerned about staining.

Tell me about the marine silicone sealant does the finish have a plastic appearance like an epoxy? Fabricator??
Do you have to reapply the sealer occassionally?

I'm in Southern California & I'm going to ask the lead designer at Pourfolio if he's familar with that type of finish. A side from the high cost, our biggest concern obviously is to what extent does it stain. I know citrus is an issue.
Someone posted that concrete countertops are inexpensive - really? The quote I received is $2 -3 thousand more than caesar stone. In fact Cheng designs in Berkley quoted 11k, and my local company is also expensive at $8,500. Whew!
