Its much the same application I think, Have you done any of the tutorials that come with it when you downloaded it ?
So is it gonna be Obama or Clinton for you guys? Its all over our news here, this is probably the most off topic thing I could type but is there a large gun control movement in the US?

The
Democrats (ie, liberals) in America are more united than in a long time. To me, the chief reason to vote for Barack Obama may be that the Republicans (conservatives) don't hate him as they do Hillary Clinton, and so the undecided voters are less likely to turn to the conservative candidate (at this point, McCain).
The bogus issues of "right to life" (ie, anti-abortion) and "secure borders" (xenophobia) are right-wing vote-getters. To me, gun rights are another of the same. There is a far-too-weak gun-control movement here. Fanatics of whatever stripe are usually more energized than their live-and-let-live neighbors, aren't they ?
There's nothing like a political season to sharpen the mind. . .

Usually, it's seems this thread is over, and many things in the inker yet.
May be this is not the time nor the place to ask. But SDR about your work, Don,t be shy, putting a bit here, and a little bit there. Many of us really enjoy looking at it, and have to go from thread to thread to see it. From time to time I want to say something about it, and when I have it, becomes out of topic!.
Why don,t you put your work on a Thread?
DA family want to see it.

Heath, I agree with you, and when we saw at DA vase the posibilities, I thought the same.
About renders, it,s OK, but what could be really a revolution could be the 3D printer...
It could be true, so I,ll try, but I,ll use glasses (and another glasses if the first broke, Dcwilson, where did you
bought yours?
Here are some comments I find usefull about it from here and there:
''
Last week was the Euromold fair for prototyping, engineering and design in Frankfurt.
Some pros and cons:
The results are not durable like many other heavy stressed materials, and the machine is too complex to be cheap enough (the price today: about 60.000,-? for the OBJET EDEN 250) and it takes a lot of time to print out (about 8 hours for an object).
There are also many advantages: The prints are relatively cheap, the result is good, the handling is easy and even broken 3D data can be imported (and used after a filter process). And this is enough to make to change the design process; in a few years (when the price will be lower) I'm sure that the model making will be made almost only with 3D prints and even this will be a revolution.
