I understand
That is a fair comment. My threads on this forum get often turned into nasty threads from a few children on the forum that like to make a circus of the most simple questions.
I closed it down to spare you and the rest of the anguish of that.
However, in the interest of fairness, I will do a separate thread in a few days simply posting the images and information I was given, and what I have found out since which is enough to summarize in one thread post, making ti useful and informative.
Jesgord those image links...
Jesgord those image links will eventuall go dead.
Here are some permament links of the photos along with some pasted text (not sure how accurate the description is) from an ebay ad for them:
"Two rare Rotalfex Heifetz pendant Lamps are for sale. This listing is for the Yellow one. Please see my other listing for the blue one. These are very large. Rotaflex Heifetz.
Hard to come by in any shape, Rotaflex produced these lamps and they were distributed by Herman Miller et al. The production and design was a collaboration of several greats of the era.
Rotaflex designs come in various shapes and sizes, and while these are large pendants, they are probably harder to come by because of the heat damage that could easily be caused by placing a too higher wattage in any of the 4 sockets each of these lamps have. These are also a little more special because most Rotaflex lamps have a single shell of strung "plastic" or cellulose acetate, but these are probably commercial grade because to compliment the exterior horizontal thread, internally a vertical threading of plastic entirely separate is present, the result of which is more protection to the external material but most importantly, it provides a blending of light and diffusion not seen in other models.
Normally Rotafelx have imprinting on them at the top or bottom and we think this is not visible because of the white flush caps on both ends.
These Lamps take a central downlight bulb and 3 other bulbs within the main body.
They are large - 34" ceiling cap to bottom of lamp, and each barrel cylinder lamp itself is 10.25" by 16" - very large.
Fixtures are made of high quality brass and steel, enameled with 100% of all screws, washers, spacers present."
