Seems to be a fabrication to me. I don't think it is a real situation... Just a fantastic joke with perhaps some kind of attempt at social commentary.

Disgusting?
I've never seen a thread bragging about having paid full market value for a piece.
Is the blog in question, whether believable or not, more egregious than the hundreds of "check out what I got for $20 at a garage sale" posts on the DA forum?

Forget the tongue in cheek blog but the back story to all this is great and fair dues to the French dealer who had the where withall to pull this off.
