Do any of these chairs have a mark?
Are you buying all of these? To sell?
I like an eclectic taste but all your recent posts are of furnishings
that don't really relate to each other.
You seem frantic. Snap pic, post pic, run out and buy more...
I'm not at all complaining. I like seeing the oddities. The baggy red fabric
on the metal chairs... seems easy enough to lift it up and see an original
material. Probably vinyl? The prices are good but often about what they are
worth.
Maybe the back and seat are bent ply. That would be sweet.
I like the other two sets. Not sure about their maker. Decent prices.
You have a good eye.
Keep up the hunt! There's gold in them hills... somewhere.
Is this market just once a year? Hence the buying frenzy?
As a seller i think you could easily double your money and occasionally
triple with a good rare find.
I've seen well made chairs on e-bay sell for 5 dollars or 0 bids. Buyers are looking for
pedigree. Well made but also good design. Or i should say familiar good design?
For example, A Hans Wegner dining chair back. Unmistakably beautiful. Well made.
And very comfortable.
I'm jealous. Looks like fun shopping.
Lyon market...
From begining..i pull red fabric..it is original wool like. under... detoriating powder yellow like @ sponge..inded it is bend playwood ..other chairs french have old sticker looks like "comet"..i/ll try take pictures I/m not eclectic..just buying cheap enougf what i can afford & like. Lyon flee market evry sunday..on a good day 300 broccante owners..Buyers from Itally coming by big trucks (their mainlly interest are "big brown wood furniture)..hihihi also Spanish , Suisse & Germans, and our french dealers..so my driving force is a price tag..Personally i/m collecting ligting (lustre,appliques..etc) anything of good design from 1930'to 1960'and i mannage to build very fine collection. I notice good designs from 50's & 60's are very much appreciated & i start to like it as well. Thank you very much for your frank opinion! Maria.
