Can you identify this chair & ottoman? Handmade?

I inherited these two matching pieces from my father. I do not even know if they are factory or handmade. There are no identifying marks. Dad was partial to Danish Modern / midcentury Scandinavian furniture, but being an Upstate NY sculptor, he knew lots of painter and carvers, so these pieces might be hand made. I do not know much about making furniture but they feature many curves and I doubt that is common in factory furniture. Are they teak?

Take a VERY sharp close up photo of the grain. Hand holding your camera won't get you a sharp image. Use a tripod or find something to set it on, and focus in on an area maybe 4" - 6" wide. Then somebody here can maybe tell you what wood it is.

I suspect it is not Scandinavian.
