Have you tried asking the manufacturer?

https://classicdesign.it/modular_sofa_piumotto_busnelli-en.html

Piumotto 08 is also available as armchair (see lounge chair section) or ottoman in two sizes (see ottoman section). The Piumotto sofa can be composed as to create many angular seating. If your send us the details and sizes of your living room we would be happy to give you a quote.

That sort of makes it sound like you can scramble them around, but then it sort of sounds like you can't...maybe. Hard to tell. I would ask them--can't hurt, right?

Hi Spanky,

Was thinking the same, had already send a mail to to producer. We'll see what they have to say

(and if they want to 🙂

I read the same thing about it being made in modules, but stating it goes apart and back together

easily is another thing of course.

I hope the arms do knock down because that long sofa will be fuuuun.

This looks like a pretty cool series. If it's not made so the user can take it apart, a decent upholsterer can figure it out.

I like the ironic contradiction of the benefit and impracticality of modular things. There's super flexibility and adaptability in some respects, but a much greater number of individual pieces is needed, and those pieces must be fully finished all around so they can also stand alone.
