Hi
Just picked up this coffee table on ebay for 30£
From my observations it is made of rosewood and is marked
"made in brazil" to the underside.
Any ideas of manufacturer or designer.

.
Made in Brazil could provably mean: not signed nor label, (with a designer/producer but not necerary a label) you need to trust in your taste/instincte/Knowledge ...
Really lovly to me! And looks very well made.
ps.:contibuor Igor Perhaps?

Nice
It's a great looking table but it looks like it might be hard to keep dusted with all of those nooks and crannies! It sort of reminds me of the Paul Evans brutalist style chests he designed for Lane.

The
ones I've seen previously had a plate glass top, and were listed as Lafer
Not that that means they were, of course 😉

Thanks for the info...
Thanks for the info Robert1960.
The pictures I took of the table were without the glass top
as I kept getting light reflecting with the top on.
I have been unable to find any links to Lafer regarding this
table but it is the only sujestion I have had so far ,Thanks again.

Hello... I think this table...
Hello... I think this table really remember Lafer. Existe a desk from Lafer very similar to this table ... The desk is made of "clubs" (i don't know how to say this expression in English, but they are small pieces of wood glued side by side in sequence). But the desk is flat and this table, the clubs have different relief (peaks and troughs). And you Gugu? It's all right with you?
Abraços a todos
Igor

After further research It...
After further research It appears to be a piece designed
by Sergio Rodriguez.
Whether it was manufactured by Lafer is another issue.
There is one of these tables for sale by a dealer in the States for a rather large sum of money.
Looks like my 30£ investment was a good one or the antiques
dealer is living in hope.
