I have an original Tecno P40 reclining lounge chair that is a restoration project, it is complete except for two small trim panels. What would this chair be worth in this state ?

I also have a completely new set of Tecno foam pads for the chair.

Any advice welcome.

Welcome PeaJay,

I would direct your attention to #3 in Basic Rules, which states, "Requests to identify objects are welcome as long as the object is believed to be modern, post-modern or contemporary (no antiques). You may ask for help identifying an object but not its commercial value. This forum is not a free valuation service."

Other than that, cool acquisition. It is not my style chair, but I know there are a lot of Italian design fans out there, and to find it with replacement components, is even nicer! I say restore it. If you are looking for valuation you are going to have to do the work....search sold ebay, sold auction results, sold Etsy results, to get an initial idea of value. That should inform whether you want to restore yourself, or hire it out to a professional.

Good Luck!
