you make it sound as though morals ARE natural law, they certainly are not and a complete human construct, subject to being ignored when they are inconvenient which can be seen every minute of day, and day of the year.
Remember a moral imperative in one culture can be a crime in another.
I wonder where moral or decent behaviour begins? Not with dogma, thou shalt this and thou shalt not that is too simple and works only as a guide with constant exceptions being made. I think it begins and ends with empathy, something so many ardent moralists are lacking.
