'Bachelor' chair by Verner Panton  

Hi all,

I have recently gotten interested in the Bachelor chair. I found out that nowadays, it was being produced by Montana, so I popped over to their showroom and tried it out. I am sad to say that I was a little disappointed.

a) the frame felt loose/wobbly and feels VERY light, which makes me question its durability

b) the only available finish is brushed steel, which I personally don't like ...why no chrome Montana 🙁

So now my questions:

Has anyone here owned the Montana era chair, and if so, how did it perform (comfort, frame strength, etc)?

Has anyone here owned the older chairs, and if so, how were those? 

If you've handled both, how did the older version compare to the old? Are the older chairs heavier, more sturdy?
