Seriously now....what is the true value of a "Tugendhat Armchair" in excellent condition?
The original posting regarding "Tugendhat" chairs seems to be from 2007...wow how time flies. It is now late October 2009 and I am seriously trying to determine the value of TWO original "Tugendhat Lounge Armchairs" in todays market. Just two weeks ago I had a representative from WRIGHT AUCTION HOUSE in Chicago come to my home and evaluate two genuinely original Tugendhat chairs I was very fortunate to come into ownership of. There is an incredible story behind these chairs and I hope you find the recent TAG or POSTING I made describing there own very history. I have been considering listing these on auction but to be completely honest I find myself sentimentally attached. I remember seeing these chairs in the office I recovered them from as a child during Christmas Corporate parties and visiting "Santa". Wow, what happened to those good old days when an employee of a corporation was allowed to bring his wife and children to the Corporate office for a holiday dinner and FREE toy and a visit from Santa? Anyway, I hope you read the recent posting I made in reference to these two somewhat mysterious "Tugendhat Armchairs". Remember what Mies said..."Less is more". Paul
