Is this chair still in limited production anywhere? I know they reissued it at some point. Still available anywhere?

I believe it was re-issued, but I don't know when or if it is still available, and if so, from where.

Grand prix
The Grand prix chair design is still owned by Fritz Hansen although they are currently not selling it.
The chair was originally designed to fit ladies bottoms because the seat was scolloped out slightly deeper than Jacobsens other chairs.
The chair consisted entirely of laminated wood for the legs and the seat.
The original grand prix chair is therefore different from the remaked version that had steel legs like the series 7.
You will also see lots of "uneducated" dealers selling the Munkegaards school chair as the Grand prix chair.
This is mainly due to the cost of a grand prix ranging from £250 £600 pr chair depending on condition.
The school chair has a back shaped more like a T where the grand prix rises at each corner of the back rest.
I dont know of any plans to run the original grand prix chair again.

Thanks for the history. I am...
Thanks for the history. I am well familiar with the design, but never knew it was designed especially for a lady's can.
Did you review the hyperlink? It would seem to suggest that it is/was in limited production.
