Books, like prayer and Mark...
Books and reading, like prayer and Mark Twain, will swing back around again, eventually, like bellbottoms, and there will be this goofy kid who thinks he needs a pair.

I was just at Peter Miller...
I was just at Peter Miller in Seattle, a great store and a favourite stop when my wife and I are in town.
For those north of the border, INFORM Interiors in Vancouver has a great book and magazine selection. Always worth a stop.

My favorite Manhattan book...
My favorite Manhattan book haunt is Westsider Books. I stop in most days on my way home to see if they have added anything to their architecture, design or catalog section

While I do not...
whitespeak,
While I do not make a practice of looking for architectural book stores, the AIA Bookstore & Design Center, 1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia was around the corner from my hotel and on the way to Cerealart and I could not resist a visit. Besides being a nice store with helpful workers I purchased some Ron Gilad, Vase Makers for Designfenzider at about twenty (20) cents on the dollar. A few for me and a few for gifts.
It goes without saying that when in London that Hatchards Booksellers since 1797 have "nearly everything" in this and many other catagories. This place is a joy.

Posters have
now mentioned several stores in different places, without specifying -- I assume these are all architecture/design book stores ?

Westsider is not all design/a...
Westsider is not all design/architecture by any means. It is an all encompassing used book store. Everything from Aardvarks to Zebras. That said, they have great art, design, and architecture sections. Sorry for the confusion
