I sold
a whole pack of similar lights. The rings, in particular. are identical. It was an L.A. company.

they
were institutional lights from the 1950's. I wish I could remember the name of the co...maybe later, but I'm about 75% sure these are by the same Co.
Do they have the larger bulbs? I forget the name, but the thread is about 1/2 bigger than a normal incandescent?

you mean "mogul" base, I think, as opposed to "standard" or "medium" base.

bulb soccet
hi
they have normal bulbs with a bajonette soccet
this is common in france, not here in belgium.
the bulb has the normal size like all normal bulbs
about 55mm in diameter
size of the lampshade is about 40cm diameter
could indeed maybe be US production as aluminium is a common used material in US. In europe they used a lot of copper in the past, right?

.
If it has a bayonet socket, then it isn't likely american. And the fact that you are in Belgium suggests against an American origin as well.
Unless the La company shipped bayonet socket fitted lamps across the country and Atlantic.

origin factory from france
I just asked the person who sold it. he told me he found it in an old factory in France...in a working place...there where more of them he told me...
could indeed been imported but unlikely with bayonet soccets. the alu material is although typical US i think.
