I got my two clocks today...
I got my two clocks today (eye and kite) and they are very nice quality. One complaint -- they ship the clocks in the clock boxes and only the clock boxes -- these don't appear to have been intended to withstand the rigors of a cross-country journey and my clocks showed it. The kite clock was ruined (I had to refuse delivery on it, the body of the clock was so bent up) and the minute hand on the eye clock got really bent up where they box had been hit. I managed to straighten out the minute hand, but still, it's not an ideal situation...
Regarding the quality of the eye clock (as that's the only I can comment on as of yet) -- like I said, overall amazingly nice. But being nit-picky (and not taking the price of the clock into account) -- the second hand looks kind of cheap and is a tad bit smaller than the originals (assuming that the original second hand for the eye clock is the same size as all other Nelson second hands) and the color of the minute hand looks like it may be a tad bit darker than the original (or Vitra version). All and all though, definitely a great buy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from All World again (though I would request that the clock boxes be shipped in a larger box with padding).

packing and boxing can be a problem
the boxes that you receive the clocks in where not intended to be cross country boxes and they know it , Those clocks come 4 or 6 to a large box so it constitutes a double box, and insulated that is why they arrive at the stores in perfect condition,
I got two sets of hands from Vitra and both sets of hands came bent, one they replaced the other i straighted out and went on my way,
I am sad to hear your kite clock came bent as it is a great clock, and the eye clock as far as i am concerned is the best deal there is
all world has done well from this crew,
I am sure our group on DA ended up taking the bulk of there clocks so i am sure they will make it right for you with no problem, sometimes it is so much easier to fix the little things then get upset and waste time sending it back even though it does royally piss you off.
on the eye clock second hand it is a large thin square orange hand , and it is the same as the vitra set as that is what i ordered from vitra and that is what came bent, If they are in bad shape ask all world to refund you 18 dollars and you can order a set from vitra, if you need the number just ask, me and i will get it for you,

Hey LRF,
Thanks. I've got the Vitra number and email addresses already (thanks to an earlier post of yours -- I had been very close to purchasing a replacement movement from Unica for $30, so I was glad when you posted that).
I managed to straighten the minute hand out fairly well so I think I'll be able to live with it. If it were a Vitra that I'd paid big bucks for, I would've sent it back, but at these prices, I'd feel bad asking to be compensated for something as relatively minor as this. (I wonder how much All World makes off of each clock?) The amount of damage done to the kite clock is another matter though. Hopefully, All World will wise up and start protecting these clocks a little better for shipping. Was I the only one from DA who got damaged clocks?
knowing what i know i ...
knowing what i know i dont think they are making very much off the clocks but White on white is another story .... they are buying them for the same price as all world and marking them up triple plus 25 bucks for shipping ,.
It truly is amazing every one has been real happy with their clocks and this is a tuff crowd on DA that for the most part is down on reproductions!!!
This has been a good lesson for all that there are some good quality reproductions out in the marketplace
YOU just have to be able to find them and with this forum that is exactly what we did. any questions about clocks. between Barry and my self i bet we can get you the answer real quick for you .
