I scored this cool little guy mixed up in a bedroom set of furniture....the thing is..it seems to be missing its legs...the weirder thing is...the four holes drilled in the top and bottom...seems like it might have been part of a wall unit...IDK? HELP?

I agree
doesn't look like it had legs, judging the fading marks on the bottom.

Here is a lauritz sale of a pied with the same model number. And it did have legs.
And it definitely does look like yours ever did from the photos. Could the holes be an owner modification?

Well that seems to negate...
Well that seems to negate any theory of what it is based on the model number. Maybe the back panels had the number stamped before they were part of a piece of furniture as they look like they might all be the same dimensions.
Aksel Kjersgaard still exists. Maybe ask them directly what it is?

So after closer inspection......
So after closer inspection....the drilled holes are conter sunk....or bigger on the inside....so that definitely leads me to believe that this was some kind of wall unit and was suspended....I cant find any info....I have emailed Aksel twice...hopefully some info will follow....if you are interested you can find this thing on ebay very soon ;^)

so I got a response back...
so I got a response back from Kjersgaard...which was very fast and super nice and awsomee!!!
"The holes inside was not made by Kjersgaard. We cannot tell you why they have be made.
The base legs are missing and originally there was no holes in the top.
This chest of drawers are no longer in production and we nothing left in stock for this.
Med venlig hilsen/Best regards/Mit freundlichen Grüssen"
So WHY did someone put these countersunk holes in this lovely vintage dresser?

Maybe they took the legs off...
Maybe they took the legs off and bolted it to the bottom of a table to make a FrankenDesk with drawers.

That still doesn't explain...
That still doesn't explain the four counter sunk holes in the bottom....I guess maybe a cabinet....and then they had something else attached to the bottom...IDK?
