adjustable shelves with T track

For the practical types...I was just drawing some jigs and realised that the T track that is used with hold downs and featherbords and stops on router tables and saws would make good uprights for adjustable height shelves and tables.

Thoughts?

Sounds good. The only tracks I've seen in shops here have been T-slots milled into saw and shaper tables. Are those two pieces steel ? I guess they are. Do you call those "carriage bolts" as we do in the US ?
Good idea, anyway. One could design brackets of wood or metal -- or plastic ? -- that would use carriage bolts ?

Sure do, the track is usually a pretty hard anodised aluminium and comes in a few profiles, Kreg and Veritas sell some fairly robust looking eamples, it might suit something like the 606 shelevs but would with some tweaking make them variably adjustable...
