Hi there, does anyone on the forum know if these carver chairs can be attributed to any particular designer/ company?
Managed to pick a couple of them up at the weekend and am in two minds as to whether to keep them or pass them on so would like to know a bit more about them to help make up my mind.....
I really like the shape of them but despite my best efforts can not find any reference on them online.
Thanks once again and appologies if these chairs have appeared here before.
Cheers

I think it's beautiful -- shape, colour of both wood and vinyl (?).
One thing I've found interesting in all sorts of fields is people's desire for affirmation of their taste, via knowing that something they own is a designer piece. Not all designer pieces are beautiful and many of unknown provenance are outstanding.
If one is acquiring to resell I guess that distinction is important as it will help to sell more quickly for more money. If it has beautiful lines but is of unknown parenthood, someone out there will recognize it's beauty but you probably won't get top dollar for it. But if it's for personal use and you love it, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the other pieces of the set.
Also, sometimes you see something wonderful, recognize that it's great design, but only later come to know its origins. So it's still worth picking up if price is right.
My 2 cents, anyway.
Thanks
Great comments thanks! I do love it as a design as well and think I will hold onto them..... For a while at least.
I always like to know the backstory of pieces whether I keep them or pass them on.
A bit more digging and research on my part required I think!
Thanks once again
