I have been offered a Herman Miller LCW, I'm told an early production. My knowledge of Eames pieces is not good other than I really like LCWs. Need to know anything about Postwar Dutch design and I'm your man!
These are the only pics of the chair I have... can anyone give me some advice if it looks right or not. The mixture of Cross head and flat head screw concerns me a little.
I have searched for a good LCW thread on the forum but there are thousands of them. Can anyone remember a particularly good one?

Your chair seems to be correct - an early Evans production. The lable is the only thing that may be too goog to be true....

It's not that anything looks to be wrong with it. That particular label is relatively rare and some sellers are known to fake it. See the thread "Ebay Shenanigans".

I've seen that thread and it's worrying. All the labels that that blokes put on look pristine and this looks nicely warn. Could anyone tell me how many plys there should be on the seat and back.
This isn't on ebay, it's not in the states... I've a good feeling about it. Find out tomorrow...
