yes, providing it is done with care and honesty it would be a wonderful sight.
however, having visited Egypt,massive rebuilding is going on without any apparent knowledge of history, or care for the past.....
Several times I saw rebuilt things that were in totally the wrong chronological order (we're talking 2 or 3,000 years here..with Roman and Greek architectural details below (literally) those of the Egyptian Kings and Queens..
Mud bricks are as easy to make now as they were 3000 years ago, and it seems that whatever is laying around is thrown up to please the tourists
I can sort of understand it ..the country relies on tourism, in the face of terrorism, but care needs to be taken !
