Hi I recently found this gem of a chair on the street I plan on restoring. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about "Monarch Furniture"? I was trying to do some research on the chair but couldn't find much and was wondering what year it was made and what type of wood it has? I did find some similar looking chairs labeled as "dutch" but they didn't match exactly, only the arms matched. Which probably says a lot actually...Any clues?

Something about synonyms
Monarch, Crown, Pinnacle, Apex, Acme, Zenith...
Like, tops, man!  Tops!

Hmmm, sounds like a sarcastic reply to me.

Not really, it was more of a comment on the lack of creativity of company names.  It can seem like a very generic world sometimes.
Another formula, beyond using a word meaning "best" (and "Best" is in fact the name of a furniture company too) is to string anglo/english "classy" names together...  I think every traditional furniture company that has ever existed has named a chair "Cambridge", for example.
