I cant seem to find any thing else that would work as a credenza for the living room.   It's such an expensive and beautiful item that I want to make sure I give it the respect it deserves.  I dont have one but am considering buying one at some point.

My humble suggestion would be to mount the tv on the wall. It isn't costly (especially given that you'd be willing spend so much on furniture). Why would you spend so much on something so beautiful and then put a big hunk of plastic on it? I always wall mount my TVs (by myself with a stud finder and screw gun). Who wants a bunch of wires clustered around a nice piece of furniture like cobwebs? It is like wearing a nice suit with tie, pressed white shirt, linen handkerchief, but not complete the ensemble and wear a beat up pair of shoes. Look forward to your photos when you get yourself set up.

The best way to give a piece of furniture (or any other utilitarian object) "the respect it deserves" is to use it.

Thank you!  I cant mount it to the wall.  All the walls are either rock or floor to ceiing glass.   It needs to be located on a furniture piece, unfortunately.

You COULD mount a TV to rock if you needed to, it might take some creativity. You just anchor it in the mortar. Unless you live in a cave and you literally have solid Rick walls.

my fireplace is rock.  I mounted a custom mantle onto it.  We rented an industrial drill and BANGO, holes (now nicely hidden behind said custom mantle).
T.V.'s look cool floating.

Thanks guys.    I didnt buy the buffet and will have to wait until the next HM sale.   I do have a ctr. coming over tomorrow so I'll ask about mounting the tv to the wall.

You could also mount it to a pair of tension poles a la Cado.
