Worth it for what purpose--
to keep? To sell? What are you looking at as far as reupholstery costs? Rates vary wildly depending on your location. Fabric prices are all over the place, too--I probably wouldn't spend a ton of money on high end fabric for these but fortunately it's possible to get very good fabric for way under wholesale if you are patient and diligent in your search.

Well...
Disc./end of bolt clearance sale table fabric + labor = probably less than you'd end up paying for some serious bullshit at Value City or something...
I've found great fabric for $6/yd that way
So I think it makes sense if your *love* is actually true...
(Personally, I wouldn't bother.)
Post pics if you do it!

Worth it from what...
Worth it from what perspective?
Your home? To sell? They're good looking chairs. But worth is in the eye of the beholder. I reupholster because once you get to know quality furniture from not, you know why the old stuff is worth redoing. I'm typing this post from a newly redone Widdicomb lounge chair...so might be biased...

From a design perspective...I...
From a design perspective...I like the lines. Curved and buttoned back. And I'm not a fan of loungers. Wouldn't own an Eames if you gave me one. So for me to like any lounger is good. I think the wood base is going to look good with the right color fabric to set it off. I wouldn't be afraid to go with color. I've seen some loungers recently redone in a wool that was Pantone's radiant orchid color that were fabulous. But black wool always sets off walnut nicely and it a bit more versatile.
