This is a cool copper-clad coffee table, but it doesn't look like any Drexel Precedent piece I've been able to find. Has anyone ever seen it before? Is it for real or did someone "do" things to the original table underneath the white paint and the copper?

I saw that listing, too.
That top looks like a foil Formica from the 70's.
The rug is more interesting to me.

i can't tell if yours still has a raised edge........
but it is the real mccoy.
i recently did mine in black satin.

That's beautiful, Mario. Did you use spray paint to get that nice even coat? And what kind of wood was underneath? I'm wondering whether it would be worth my while to strip the whole thing back to its original state. I'm also wondering how the hell you get that copper stuff off. 🙂

i like your copper......
but i bet a good refinisher could get it off.
my finish is satin black lacquer that a pro did for me.
it was the common silver elm wood and finish for the precedent line originaly.
our numbers are different probably meaning they had different details i suppose.
