Hi
I've just bought a Pieff table with chrome base. I've stripped it of its horrible dark varnish and need some help identifying the wood.
I've looked online and it seems as if Pieff used mahogany or rosewood for these tables. I've attached a couple of photos of the stripped top.

Oak, or maybe ash.

That's really helpful. Thanks so much. It's definitely the ash option although my chrome base is different.
I now just have to work out how to finish it.
