Wood finish  

I'm having a piece of furniture reproduced for our house and would like to have an original type finish applied. Does anone know what kind of finish was used on Herman Miller thin edge beds and daybed frames?
I know the wood on the 670 was oiled as well as the eames stools but what about the rest of the furniture Herman Miller produced? Were the birch runners on a rocker oiled? What about the finish on the dcm/lcm's?
Im really trying to duplicate the finish found on the daybeds/thin edge beds where the wood has aged to that beautiful amber color...
