Bought this chair recently, sticker at the back of front wooden brace, but the top printed layer of the paper has torn off- I don't know if it was a maker's mark or just a price tag.

The chair is very well made, zip on canvas support under the seat, brown leather is very high quality, polished steel is heavy and sturdy, wood appears to be dark cherry (maybe, not good with wood ID-ing)...

I've never seen anything like it. Very strange. Help appreciated.

Also, it appears a bit wider and lower in person, the photo seems be slightly distorted.

STENDIG..............
i've seen those in two or three seater versions with STENDIG lables. i don't know the designer, but may be from a group of swiss design, that stendig brought to america.

I've been looking through stendig stuff online trying to find a match, no luck yet... do you know of a resource that has a comprehensive list of stendig designs with pics?
Anyone else have any idea what this chair may be, stendig or otherwise?
