Widdicomb table - could it be Robsjohn Gibbings?....

I have this Widdicomb table and wondering if it was designed by Robjohns Gibbings....it has a beautiful burled type wood - if anyone could ID the type of wood that would be great too. Think the base was painted black, doubt that is original. I posted a dining table from 1st dibs in which the base is a somewhat similar style to this one......

yes....
there's a very wide range of value. I like 1st dibs for furniture research, but I know the prices are off the map for what most people could get for something...as they say, it's worth what someone is willing to pay......
